Moss and fir cones on the roof,
under it a piece of gingerbread
and a tea-kettle on the stove...
I prefer books
to eternal fussing.
A squashed little sofa
and in the field the dandelions
which have turned grey.
I am dashing off the plan
of my daily tasks:
to water the flower-bed from the can
and to write in the notebook
words, weaving the line
and to unravel the enigma
of existence on earth.
