"Let's Talk about the Paradoxes of Love" ("Pogovorim o Strannostyakh Lubvi"), "Vest' ", Moscow, 1991. Selected poetry and an Essay (after which the book is titled) about the author's way to the knowledge of great poetry, literature and art: the first acquaintance with poetry of Nikolai Zabolotskii and many others, the emotional shock at the first acquaintance with Nabokov's prose ("Dar", "Drugie Berega") and with Andrei Sinyavskii's (Abram Terts's) "A Voice from the Chorus" ("Golos iz Hora"), etc. The essay describes the author's special personal experience connected with her first visit to the famous Maximilian Voloshin's house in Koktebel' in the Crimea in 1961, meetings with Voloshin's widow, with Viktor Manuilov, with many other wonderful representatives of Koktebel' art community of that time. |
